Reviews, takes, news, videos, photos, everything about videogames, specially JRPG
I just wanted to try something very different this time: a game full of ecchi stuff, but still an RPG, and turn based RPG to be accurate. And I’m still surprised Nintendo is allowing these kind of games on switch, but this is hardly a complaint, lol.
I already played and cleared Bravely Default 2 (and enjoyed it) and purchased the first one months ago. So, it was just a matter of when, not if to purchase this game.
I was curious about this game, it was mentioned in one of the communities I’m following. I do know it has got mixed takes from both the media and players as well, but I found it cheap, so I didn’t risk anything with this purchase.
In the end, I decided to go to the next level, I finally jumped to the new, current technology.
I wasn’t convinced at first, in fact, the game catalog still feels short for me when it comes to exclusives, specially for the genres I care about.
However, features like backwards compatibility with PS4, Dualsense as the best Sony controller, state-of-the-art resolutions (4K, 8K) and HDR, fastest loading times… every aspect makes up for the small exclusive catalog. Besides, this is just the beginning of its era, I know a lot of exclusives are going to be developed in the future to fully leverage this technology.
And, from now on, it’s quite obvious I’ll play here any upcoming multi-console entry. (in addition to the exclusives).
Soul Hackers 2 will be my first game on this console, and I hope the developers hurry with Dragon Quest III remake / Dragon Quest XII, because I want to play them on PS5 already.
